“回家了” (hui jia le), is the Mandarin phrase for ‘go home’.

This series took place in Singapore, where Himi photographed people who boarded the last bus. She noticed that most of the passengers are of overtime working adults who have gone through a long tiring day and still taking bus ride home which is long and tiring too.

Inspired by Hong Kong film director Wong Kar-wai’s melancholy, she captured a similarity of every passenger; they carry their lonesome and weariness back and forth from home to workplace each day, just to dream it away on the empty bus seats.
